Make Money with Google Adsense!

First of all, don't let all the web tech mumble jumble fool you. It's so easy that once I've explained everything, you'll bang your head against a wall asking yourself why you didn't do this sooner.

Simply explained, "Adsense" is a technology (basically a string of html codes) that Google has created to help you -- yes, you -- make money, while making them money in the process.

You see, while Google makes a lot of money off those "Sponsored Links" that shows up in their search engine's results page, they realize they can make a whole lot more money if they let you, the individual webmaster, paste their Adsense code onto your page as well.

What is an "Adsense code"?

It's really just a group of codes (about 6 or 7 lines long) that basically allows Google to scan the content of your website (the page that the code is on) and display, in the ad layout of your choice, relevant ads that your visitor might be interested in.

Let me say that again: Google will only display relevant ads after it scans your webpage, to ensure that only ads that meets your site's content will show.

For instance: If your site is all about photography, the only ads that will ever show up on your site are ads for photography. Maybe cameras for sell, online photo labs, that kind of thing.

That's what Adsense does. It senses, if you will, what's on your page, and displays the appropriate ads to entice your visitor to click on the links.

And that's it. Voila.

Every time someone clicks on one of your Adsense ads, you get paid. That's why Adsense is called "PPC", or "Pay Per Click". You get paid every time someone clicks on your Adsense link, which allows Google to go to the advertiser (the guy whose ads you were showing, and that got clicked) and charge him for that click.

Here's how you and Google make money off these ads: Google serves the ads, bills the advertiser, and then splits the money with you. You are actually taking a cut from Google's earnings. And all you had to do was apply to Google Adsense, get accepted, and then paste their 5 or 6 line of codes on your site.

That's it. You never have to mess with the code ever again for all of eternity.

Easy money, right? So what's stopping you! Make money with Adsense now!

There's really no secret to Adsense. But here are some hints to optimize your Adsense earnings:

1) If you see ads that aren't relevant to your site, but are taking up space, use Adsense's URL filter to block that ad from showing up again. This way, you'll ban the troublesome ad, and open up space for another, better ad.

2) Layouts and formats are very important. Adsense allows you to choose what type of ad layouts and what color you want your ads to appear in. Experiment with everything, and find the one that works best for you. What works for one site might not work for others. It's up to you to decide which works best, and earns you the most money.

3) Use Adsense's "Channels", which allows you to keep track of individual pages. This way, you can give one group of pages a particular layout/color scheme, and another something completely different. You can then use the channels to compare which one works better, and which one performs poorly.

4) Experiment. Experiment. Experiment.

5) Google allows a lot of leeway with how your Adsense ads show up on your webpage. Read all their tutorials so you won't get stuck doing the bare minimum. It's really not that difficult. Just take an hour and read everything Google allows you to do. Trust me, it'll be worth it.

6) Experiment. Experiment. Experiment.
